Have you heard about the NDIS?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a national scheme to support people with disability to achieve their goals, participate in their communities and to provide them, and their families and carers, with personalised, flexible care and support.

The NDIS brings choice and flexibility for people with disability. It empowers participants with choice through personalised planning and delivery of their supports. This is mostly achieved through Local Area Coordination (LAC) services.

Mid Coast Communities is delivering the NDIS LAC services across the Mid North Coast region on behalf of NDIS Partner Social Futures. For more information about LAC services, visit NDIS – Local Area Coordination and/or watch this video:

NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission

The independent NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission works to improve the quality and safety of NDIS supports and services. It is now available in New South Wales and South Australia. The website has information about the NDIS Commission for NDIS participants, families and carers, providers and workers.
