The Momentum Youth Housing Service is part of the new approach to addressing homelessness in NSW.

The Momentum Service uses a ‘no wrong door’ approach to assist young people who are experiencing homelessness or who are coming up against barriers to finding stable accommodation.

Momentum staff can help young people with landlords, Centrelink, family and personal challenges. Staff can also help with accommodation support, dealing with drug and alcohol issues, finding private rental accommodation and assisting with education and training opportunities.

If you would like assistance with housing, you can drop in to see one of our Momentum Case Managers, Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm at 22 Earl Street, Coffs Harbour (in the Coffs Harbour Community Village) or you can phone us on 02 5632 4021.

Momentum’s transitional youth housing program integrates housing and intensive case management support and programming to assist young people to stabilise their lives and move to independence within 12 months.

The program runs in partnership with Community Housing Limited and provides young people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness with supported accommodation while they get on their feet.

Young People, aged 17 to 25 years, who are committed to achieving goals and to participating in programs that build independent living skills can access this housing.

By completing a range of programs, young people can build their skills for independence, gain education, employment and financial independence and improve their health and wellbeing so they can transition into private rental accommodation.

The Momentum Service does not provide crisis accommodation but we can help young people by providing assessment and referrals to support young people to access the services they need. Momentum staff have all the latest information on what to do, where to go and who to talk to.

Young people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless can talk to our Momentum staff Monday to Friday, between 9am and 4pm at our Youth Centre at 22 Earl Street, Coffs Harbour or by phone on 02 5632 4021.
